The Hornady SST (Super Shock Tip) bullet features a sleek, polymer-tipped design with an InterLock ring that mechanically locks the core and jacket together. This non-lead-free bullet delivers devastating terminal performance with rapid, controlled expansion. The secant ogive and boat-tail design provide a high ballistic coefficient for flat trajectories and excellent accuracy at hunting distances. The SST is particularly effective on medium game like deer and antelope, where its explosive expansion creates large wound channels for quick, ethical kills. Its distinctive red polymer tip initiates expansion even at reduced velocities.
