Vectan powders are manufactured by Nobel Sport in France and are distributed primarily throughout Europe. They have a particularly strong presence in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium and other CIP-member countries, where Vectan has long been a popular choice among sport shooters and handloaders. Like other powder manufacturers, Vectan recommends starting with the published minimum charge and working up carefully while monitoring for pressure signs, as individual firearms and components can produce different results.

Vectan’s load data provides safe starting and maximum charges, cartridge overall length (COAL), velocity and pressure information for the tested combinations. However, compared with some other powder manufacturers, the published data often includes relatively little detail about the exact test components and conditions.
