.257 | 110gr | Hornady FTX
by Hornady
The Hornady FTX (Flex Tip eXpanding) bullet revolutionized lever-action ammunition with its safe, soft elastomer tip that prevents primer detonation in tubular magazines. This design allows lever-action rifles to shoot pointed bullets for the first time, dramatically improving ballistic performance over traditional flat or round nose designs. The InterLock ring ensures jacket-core integrity while the Flex Tip initiates consistent expansion across a wide velocity range. The FTX is ideal for lever-action calibers like .30-30 Winchester, .45-70 Government, and .444 Marlin, making these classic hunting rifles more effective at extended ranges.
