How can I adjust the powder model or parameters to match the calculated results with my chronograph measurements?

Allowing users to manually tune powder models or parameters is something we are actively considering, but before we offer it we want to be sure we can do so without compromising safety for less experienced reloaders. A calculator that lets every user freely edit the underlying powder model can very easily be pushed into producing optimistic charge weights that look reasonable on screen but exceed safe pressure in the chamber. We don't want to ship that.

Our current thinking is to provide a controlled way to align the calculator with your real-world results. We have not yet finalized the approach, and we would rather take time to get it right than release something that creates risk for newer reloaders.

In the meantime, if your calculated results and measured velocities don't line up, this article explains the most common reasons and what you can adjust on the input side to bring them closer together.
