A bala Hornady ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding) possui uma ponta revolucionária Heat Shield que resiste ao aquecimento aerodinâmico e mantém sua forma para um desempenho balístico consistente em longas distâncias. O anel InterLock e a camada espessa garantem uma expansão confiável e alta retenção de peso, tornando-a eficaz desde curta distância até longas distâncias de caça. Esta bala sem chumbo oferece precisão de nível de competição com desempenho terminal de nível de caça, preenchendo a lacuna entre balas de alvo e de caça. A ELD-X é ideal para caça de longo alcance em animais de médio a grande porte, com sua expansão controlada evitando a superexpansão em alta velocidade ou a subexpansão em baixa velocidade.
