Ball Tip — A Crockett variant that replaces the ERTP nose with a ball tip, which Twenty-Nine calls a driven-hunt tip. The ball regulates and accelerates expansion, suiting the close, fast, often-moving shots of driven hunting rather than reaching work; recommended range is medium and short. Construction is otherwise identical lead-free machined copper with driving bands. The trade-off shows in the ballistics: the .308 150 gr Ball Tip carries a G1 of 0.334 against 0.425 for the ERTP at the same weight.
