La bala Hornady ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding) cuenta con una punta revolucionaria Heat Shield que resiste el calentamiento aerodinámico y mantiene su forma para un rendimiento balístico consistente a largas distancias. El anillo InterLock y la chaqueta gruesa aseguran una expansión confiable y alta retención de peso, haciéndola efectiva desde cortas distancias hasta largas distancias de caza. Esta bala sin plomo ofrece una precisión de grado de competición con un rendimiento terminal de grado de caza, cerrando la brecha entre las balas de blanco y las de caza. La ELD-X es ideal para la caza a larga distancia de caza mediana a grande, con su expansión controlada evitando la sobreexpansión a alta velocidad o la subexpansión a baja velocidad.
